Vacancy for Secretary
The Society is currently looking to fill two vacancies, a Retriever Field Trial Secretary and a Retriever Field Test Secretary. We would welcome applications from members for these important roles. You will be supported by the whole committee and there is currently an annual honorarium paid for both positions. For details on the nomination procedure please follow the guidance set out in the notice above (sent out previously) informing the members of the date of the AGM. In accordance with the Society’s Constitution and Rules no person may serve on the Committee whilst being an undischarged bankrupt.
Vacancy for Committee Members
We are looking to appoint some new Committee members. Applicants will need to be members of the Cornwall Field Trial Society. Any member wishing to apply will need to be proposed and seconded by current Society members and the nominee will need to confirm their willingness to stand. The Society holds four committee meetings annually. These positions are open to persons who have been members of the Society for two or more consecutive years. Applications are also welcomed by members who do not meet the two-year qualifying period. Such applications would be dealt with by the co-opting process. It is not a requirement that any applicant should have previous committee experience. The aim of the Society is to help improve the breeding and training of sound working gundogs. We attend both the Royal Cornwall and Stithians Shows.
