Yesterday we held our first spaniel trial of the 2025/26 season
We got the start of our trialling off this year with our Open AV Sringer Spaniel (except cocker) Trial at the Caerhays Estate in Cornwall
What a lovely day that really showed how beautiful the estate is, a huge thanks go to owners Mr and Mrs Williams and Jimmy Andrews the head keeper for once again allowing us to come to the estate and allowing us to use their wonderful estate to hold our trial.
To Simon Trudgie for organising the team of guns for us, thank you guns. To Trevor known by many on the estate for standing in to present the awards to the competitors.
To the judges Nick Gregory and Margaret Cox for giving up their time and judging all the dogs for us, with competitors completing their first round in woods, then after a short break, 14 dogs did their second run in cover crop.
My team of helpers who without I would not be able to do my job, with special thanks to Jo Rouse.
To skinners for once again supporting the club and supplying us with certificates and food vouchers.
Last but not least to the competitors for entering and supporting the club and showing us their dogs.
