Novice Field Trial for AV Retrievers  at the St Allen Shoot

CFTS held its Novice Field Trial for AV Retrievers on new ground at St Allen by kind permission of the whole of St Allen’s Shoot syndicate on the 4th Dec 2023. Thank you to the Judges on the day,  Sally Jenkins, Matt Gould, John Hodge and Helen ford..

Most of you that trial and some of you who take part in the running of a trial understand that it’s not every day that you get to run a trial under such a friendly and supportive atmosphere… Thank you must go to everyone for making this trial truly feel part of a days shooting, from picking up, Elevenses and lunch!  It’s been a privilege to be part of and it makes my job so much less stressfull. Thank you

We started with a pheasant drive and finished on a duck drive. We had  rain, rain, wind and more rain but it didn’t dampen the atmosphere.

Thank you to our lovely judges and the people behind the scenes, bird carriers, pickers up and stewards, and last but by no means least.. Skinners for their continued sponsorship with prizes and certificates.
